Cardamom Coffee Spice Blend
Unconventional and daring, this inventive blend is inspired by the flavors and traditions of Arabic coffee culture. In the Middle East, coffee beans are customarily ground together with Cardamom seeds for brewing. Using the flavor profile of Turkish coffee for inspiration, we crafted a hearty, complex blend teeming with flavor. It bounces between earthiness, sweetness, bitterness, and fruitiness, never settling on just one flavor for very long. We recommend this for both meat and vegetable dishes, especially as a dry rub for beef, pork, and chicken.
We procure and grind a beautifully roasted, rich, and aromatic Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee bean and add-in our freshly ground Indian Cardamom seed. This base is complemented by earthy notes of Cilantro, Garlic, and Ginger, and the fruitiness of Hungarian Sweet Paprika. We add just a touch of Hawaiian Cane Sugar to even out the pleasant bitterness of the Coffee, and marry all these diverse flavors with a pinch of Sea Salt.
