Herbes de Provence is a blend of herbs that grow on the hillsides of the southern French region of Provence during summer. To be truly worth of being a reflection of Provence, the blend must contain one uniquely distinguishable ingredient: lavender buds. This blend works well in most meat or vegetable dishes.
Individually hand-blended from:
Basil, Fennel, French Lavender Buds, French Thyme, Marjoram, Rosemary, Summery Savory, and Tarragon.
How this blend is hand-made:
First, we slow toast the whole Fennel seeds over a fired cast-iron skillet to bring out the spice’s volatile oils. Then we hand-blend the Fennel seeds together with all of the dried herbs to produce our Herbes de Provence Blend.
The process by which we make our Herbes de Provence Blend, maximizes the blend’s flavor.
